ICEB 7th General Assembly

ICEB, the International Council on English Braille is holding its Seventh General Assembly from Monday, May 11, 2020 through Friday, May 15, 2020 at the Google Academy in central London UK. The focus for the week will be on braille as an exciting and relevant code for the future, particularly digital braille.
INBAF will send a delegation to represent Ireland, but the GA is open for observers, too. General Assemblies are held every four years in one of ICEB’s member states.
Registration will be available from the end of January at www.ukaaf.org. The program will also be made available at this time. In addition to formal proceedings, including reports from the ICEB Committee Chairs and ICEB member Country Reports, a range of papers will be presented on the topic of braille, alongside a display of posters and products in an exhibition area. All papers will be published in the proceedings of the General Assembly and will be posted on the ICEB website after the Assembly.
The recommended hotel for accommodation during the General Assembly is the Premier Inn in London Victoria. It is reasonably priced and located within a short walk of the conference venue and central Victoria Railway station. Please note that there is no fixed price, so it is advantageous to book early. Bookings should be made through the hotel via www.premierinn.com
