The Irish National Braille and Alternative Formats Authority (INBAF) is dedicated to promoting all aspects of alternative formats for individuals with sight loss in Ireland. Established in 2011, INBAF has successfully implemented the Unified English Braille (UEB) code in the Irish school system and made significant advancements in the Irish Braille code.
With an ambitious work plan and an impending strategic review, INBAF invites applications for the position of Board Secretary. This role is crucial in supporting the Chair in guiding the authority’s work. We seek a candidate who is passionate about accessibility, experienced in board support, and keen to contribute to a dynamic organisation undergoing significant change.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and circulate minutes following executive board meetings.
- Maintain an updated list of actions and support board members in their respective responsibilities.
- Assist the Chair by attending subgroup meetings and executing the strategic review work plan.
- Ensure integrity, high standards, and confidentiality in all tasks.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:30 pm.
